Timeline or Airframe?
my grandpa moved and got rid of some stuff and i got these two michael chrichton books from him. Timeline and Airframe. I was wondering which one people preffered over the other. So which should i read first?
Oh definitely Timeline. It is so well written and I absolutely loved how Crichton kept the pace, suspense, and thrillingness (haha, not a word I know) in the novel. It was great, I was so disappointed by the movie, it was completely unworthy of the book. Airframe took me forever to finish, not because it was hard or anything, but I was bored and felt the gore/detail of the 1st couple chapters was overdone. I finished it because it was more like an obligatory “I should finish it cuz it’s Crichton” sort of thing.
I actually got to meet Mr. Crichton at the LA Times Festival of Books, and a guy asked him if he liked Timeline or Jurassic Park better and he answered Timeline. And some say Jurassic is one of his best, so author’s preference =)
