Loved Tom

Stephen King’s “The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon” — advice without spoilers, please?
I am reading Stephen King’s “The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon” and I am torn. I really like the book, but it is scaring me a bit, giving me the creeps. I don’t know if I should finish it.
I do want to be able to hike in the woods in the spring, and camp w/o thinking about this book too much and getting freaked out.
If you have read the book to the end, can you tell me: does it get a whole lot scarier after she sees the three hooded figures? (no major spoilers, please — I’m not asking, “What happens?”, I’m asking, “How much scarier?”)
Spoilers and those who have not read the book need not answer. Thanks.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t get any scarier. I read this a few years ago so my memory isn’t perfect, but I think a are about half way(?). Anyway, there is one more thing that might be creepy, but not as bad as the hooded figures. But even if it does see, to get a little creepier, you need to finish it, it isn’t long and the ending will make you feel much better.
